The Muses Pour Flowers in Watercolor

We had a great time pouring, blending and mixing watercolors a week ago, Thursday. Our subject was a lavender clematis from a photograph by Vicki Greene of Florida. Thank you, Vicki, for allowing us to use your picture.
This week we finished our paintings using negative painting in addition to traditional watercolor painting techniques. Rosie is going a step further by incorporating her painting in to her own creation - a collage. We will post that when it is completed.
Michelle's beautiful flower...gorgeous poured colors and almost abstract background.
Rosie is working hers into a collage after some beautiful negative painting. This is a work in progress.

Theresa created a soft beautiful painting in muted colors.

Barb used a lot of negative painting and bright colors on hers.

This poured painting was maybe not the most favorite project the Muses have undertaken, but all agree it was a learning experience.

Michelle's First Beautiful Apple!!!

It was a "DELICIOUS" afternoon of painting apples.

Apples, apples, everywhere! We have had such a great time painting apples under the tutelege of Michelle, who is our resident oil painter. This was a lesson in knife painting - something Michelle does very well.
